Re: 153 Chambers Street
New York, NY 10007
Dear Mr. Radhakrishnan:
Pursuant to our telephone conversation, and your letter dated February 12, 2002,
I am writing to confirm that the above referenced building was not seriously
affected by the World Trade Center disaster. We suffered no broken windows, or
debris on the roof or in the public areas. In light of this, our building maintenance
has been routine: halls cleaned weekly, door replaced on rooftop elevator
housing room (not damaged in attack, but rotted away), elevator repairs as
necessary, gutters cleaned and leader line repaired, and so on.
It is my understanding that in this situation, with a minor dust condition as the
only visible result of September 11, that no radical remedies such as cleaning the
exterior of the building are required. Following your suggestion, however, I am
scheduling an air quality test for asbestos as soon as possible.
Please note that the mailing address for this property is C/o Arnold S. Warwick &
Co., Ltd. at 129 Charles Street, New York, NY 10014. (Previous correspondence
was sent to 652 Hudson Street, which is a sublet apartment. Mr. Berg resides in
Istanbul.) My telephone is 212-217-0544.
Thank you very much.
Very Truly Yours,
Ar old S. Warwick & Co., Ltd
