In the few areas where positive Director Emeriti results of asbestos fibers appeared, an asbestos handling contractor performed the Louis DeSalMo Charles Gaines appropriate cleaning and the area was re-tested. In each case, the second testing results Joseph Lofaso were negative.

Below are some actions Southbridge has taken after the Sept. 11 attack. If you need additional information, please don't hesitate to call me.

- During the first weeks following the attack, our maintenance staff hosed down sidewalks, walkways and wet-mopped the halls and stairways daily - Distributed dust masks to residents and employees - Rooftops were checked and cleared of dust - Bio-hazardous clean-up of all elevator motor rooms by professional company - All kitchen and bathroom ventilation fans were checked for proper working order - Fresh air intake vents in hallways were shut down to stop dust from entering hallways - Loan hepavacuums donated by American Lung Association and Eureka to residents to clean floors and furniture - Distributed notices to residents regarding cleaning and dust control - Distributed purifiers donated by American Lung Association and Whirpool - Residents advised to ask homeowners insurance to do biohazard clean-up of apt. - Red Cross provided volunteers for clean-up and gave our free purifiers - Southbridge put in an insurance claim to have façade cleaned and all vent ducts throughout buildings cleaned
