Dear Mr. Radhakrishnan:
In response to your February 23, 2002, letter to my client, the American Express Company, I am enclosing a copy of the Asbestos Assessment Report for 3 World Financial Center which has been prepared by EMG, Inc.
In accordance with my telephone discussion with Mrs. Wyatt of your office, the report includes summaries of the air and bulk sampling results for the building and a summary of the asbestos abatement activities, which have only recently been completed. As you may know, 3 World Financial Center is a 52-story building and, therefore, the large number of sampling results compiled to date makes production of the individual results impractical. Mrs. Wyatt also consented to granting my client additional time in which to submit the report so that it could complete its work and compile the results.
