Re: Abatement Contractor Monitoring during Exterior Façade/Roof CIeanup Project #220692

Dear Mr. Kramer. As a result of bulk sampling conducted by Ambient Group, Inc. (Ambient) on February 20 and 27, 2002 at the request of the Building's Management (Cushman &- Wakefield), it was determined that several of the building's roof setbacks and facade ledges contained asbestos-containing and/or contaminated debris/dust. This contamination occurred at the exterior of the building as a result of the World Trade Center collapse. Based on the above the C&W retained the services of Complete Enn•ironmental Services Inc. (COMCO), an abatement contractor, to perform cleanup of seltcted exterior roof setback surfaces, including building facade and exterior louvers in accordance with NYCDEP's roof decontamination and facade cleanup procedures. Ambient was also retained to be present during the cleanup in order to confirm that the abatement contractor was conduting the cleanup in accordance to regulatory requirements. During two consecutive weekends, July 13th and July 21g, 2002, COMCO conducted this cleanup activity, which included removal of visible dust/debris from selected setlmcks, and cleanup of all horizontal surfaces of louvers and building facade ledges. All work was p► rformed in accordance to trechnical requirements. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call. incem
