Mr. Radhakrishnan. PE The New York City Department of Environmental Protection 59-17 Junction Boulevard 8'" Floor Corona, New York 11368-5107
Dear Mr. Radakrishnan,
I am in receipt of your notice dated May 17 2002 requesting copies of the environmental hazard assessments, including bulk sample results, air monitoring results, and clean up activities at our home at 226 West Broadway.
There was no accumulation of bulk material on our building. The façades and roof have long since been washed clean by the rain of any dust that may have fallen from the towers. We had our building interior cleaned numerous times, and continue to run HEPA air filters.
As such we have no test results to submit.
We would welcome the good guidance and testing services of the DEP regarding our building, neighborhood, and schools. To date, all governmental agencies have insisted that there were no lingering public health risks. Confidence was so high in this belief that our children were moved back to PS 234, just two blocks from the disaster site.
Your guidance, assistance, and candor in this matter would be welcome.
