Asbestos identification is determined by the morphology, visual Selected Area Electron Diffraction (SAED), and Elemental Apalysis using an Energy Dispersive X-ray Analyzer (EDAX). Concentration on the filter is calculated by taking the mumber of asbestos structures and dividing by the area analyzed. Air concentration is calculated by couttiplying the effective fitter area (EFA) by the fier concentration and then dividing by the volume of air collected in cuble centioneters (cc). The dala pertaining to these calculations can be found an the Asbestos Count Sheet. The air filter concentrati accutacy of the filter ion relates only (o air fiber content. When samples are submitted by an outside agency for analysis, Baviroscieace, can only guarantee the concentration. This report may not be reproduced without the express permission of Envioscience. The sampies collected in the response action area demonstrated a filter concestration of asbestos less than seventy structures per square millimeter.
