In reviewing this proposal, the Commission noted that the designation report xles bes the Iéderal Reserve Bank of New York as a Florentine/Italian Renaissance style governmentbuilin1.designedby York and Sawyer and constructed in 1919-1924. The Commission also notes that there is some oe$ris on the roof.

Staff has reviewed these specifications and finds that the work on the roof will r of require the removal of any significant protected architectural material: that it will not detract from the atr itecturai character of the building or streetscape; and that cleaning the roof will bring the building c%sei tà its historic condition. Therefore, the Commission has no objection to the work proceeding a t is time; or the issuance of permits by any other city agency.
