The approved work consists of cleaning the roof of the building of debris related tt6,1he-collapse of the World Trade Center, including collecting all loose debris, washing loose gravel, wet wiping other surfaces, as described in specifications prepared the City of New York Deparn of Enciirapmental Protection and submitted as components of this application

In reviewing this proposal, the Commission noted that the designation reportxlesi 1c$ es the Ideral Reserve Bank of New York as a Florentine/Italian Renaissance style government buili in$.':olesigned!by York and Sawyer and constructed in 1919-1924. The Commission also notes that there is some :delbs on the roof.

Staff has reviewed these specifications and finds that the work on the roof will cii iequire the removal of any significant protected architectural material; that it will not detract from t!te:atrt: iitectural character of the building or streetscape, and that cleaning the roof will bring the building ser to its historic condition. Therefore, the Commission has no objection to the work proceeding at t}tis time; or the issuance of permits by any other city agency.
