The approved work consists of cleaning the roof of the building of debris related'tt?the collapse of the World Trade Center, including collecting all loose debris, washing loose gravel d wet wiping other Protection surfaces, as described in specifications prepared the City of New York Deparirnei of Environmental and submitted as components of this application Reserve In reviewing this proposal, the Commission noted that the designation reportdesp bes the Federal Bank of New York as a Florentine/Italian Renaissance style government building ulesignedby York and Sawyer and constructed in 1919-1924. The Commission also notes that there is sosne debis on the roof.

Staff has reviewed these specifications and finds that the work on the roof will not require the removal of arty significant protected architectural material; that it will not detract from the:amt itectural character of the building or strectscape; and that cleaning the roof will bring the building to its historic Ye►ser
