ISSUED TO: R. Radhakrishnan, Director N. Y. C. Department of Environmental Protection 59-17 Junction Boulevard 8th Floor Corona, NY 11368

Pursuant to Section 25-310 of the Administrative Code of the City of New York, the Landmarks Preservation Commission hereby approves certain alterations to the subject premises as proposed in your application completed on June 20, 2002.

The approved work consists of cleaning the roof of the building of debris related to the collapse of the World Trade Center, including collecting all loose debris, washing loose gravel, and wet wiping other surfaces, as described in specifications prepared the City of New York Department of Environmental Protection and submitted as components of this application

In reviewing this proposal, the Commission noted that the designation report for this Individual Landmark describes Federal Hall as a Greek Revival style government building designed by Town and Davis and constructed between 1834 and 1842. The Commission also notes that there is some debris on the roof and facade

Staff has reviewed these specifications and finds that the work on the roofwill not require the removal of any significant protected architectural material; and that it wiil not detract from the architectural character of the building or streetscape. Therefore, the Commission has no objection to the work proceeding at this time, or the issuance of permits by any other city agency.

A copy of this permit have been sent to the Department of Environmental Protection.
