The staff of the Landmarks Preservation Commission
recently received a request review a proposal for work
at the subject premises. The proposed work consists of
cleaning the exteriorf lb building of debris
related to the collapse of the World Trade Center,
including removing all loose erio using, on the
horizontal surfaces, non-metallic bristle brushes or scrapers,
water rinse of not more than 250 PSI, and, as followed up by wet4• ""'"ing and a low pressure
described in specifications preparef •i a City of New

Staff has reviewed these specifications and finds
that the work on the facade wi1A,'6 it:require the removal
of any significant material; that it will not detract from
the architectural charaicte pp the biding Or
the streetscape, and that cleaning the facade will
bring the building closet to its h•stóric appearance.
Therefore, the Commission has no objection to the
workproceeding at this tithe,,Eti the issuance of permits
by any other city agency. .
