• Following the cleaning of these areas, a visual inspection shall be conducted by an independent third party project monitoring firm and/or New York City School Construction (NYCSCA) representatives to verify that all .surfaces have been properly cleaned and are free of visible dust/debris.
• Aggressive air sampling shall be performed on a floor-by-floor basis as the cleaning work progresses. Air sampling shall be conducted in compliance with all applicable local, slate and federal regulations. In areas where the ceiling system has nol been removed, that is, where sheetrock and/or plaster ceilings exist, aggressive air sampling shall be conducted both above and below the ceiling. ATC Associates Inc. will perform this air monitoring.
• Air samples shall be analyzed via Tiunsmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) methodology. Successful air clearance shall be achieved when all air samples collected within the building are below 70 stnicrures per millimeter squared f<70 str/mm^) - TEM analysis.
• Following successful air clearance sampling on each floor, the Contractor will install new ceiling tiles and/or install access hatches where applicable on that floor. The area below these ceilings will be recleaned following the installation of the new materials.
Kiss Construction, Inc. has been retained by NY'CSCa to perform this work. This project is scheduled to commer.ee ai ?:00 /AM on February 5, 2002. Kiss Construction has estimated that this work will be completed wnhin four weeks.
