Re: WTC Sorting & Disposal Operation Air Sample Data

Please find the attached personal air sample data that has been collected by Evans Environmental & Geosciences (EE&G). The sample table is for Bureau of Waste Disposal workers that have been performing job functions at the Landfill and Hamilton Avenue MTS as part of the WTC Sorting and Disposal Operation. 115 personal samples have been collected at the landfill and 50 personal samples at the Hamilton Avenue MTS totaling 165 samples from October 16**’ 2001 through January 9^^ 2002. Of the 165 samples analyzed 3 have been found to exceed OSHA permissible exposure limits for total fibers and total dust. Further analysis of those samples has shown no exceedance of PEL'S for asbestos fibers or for silica.

Ted Nabavi and myself will continue to coordinate the air monitoring program for the duration of the WTC Sorting & Disposal Operation. If you have any questions regarding the attached data please contact me at your earliest convenience.
