Dear Brian:
Attached find complete results of the analysis of the water samples taken from the WTC site on February 22, 2002. It is apparent from reviewing the data that the samples have been mislabeled. Two samples are taken for analysis each time. All of the test results for the 2/22/02 sample labeled “well discharge" are consistent with the previous test results for the “sump discharge” and the 2/22/02 sample labeled “sump discharge" is consistent with previous results for the “well discharge." We have made changes to our sampling procedures to assure that this does not happen in the future. We apologize for this mistake.
MTBE levels for the sump discharge (South Projection) and dewatering well discharge (Main Discharge) should read 48 ppb and 6 ppb, respectively.
We are also forwarding a copy of the table which tracks MTBE concentration for all of the water sample testing which has been performed on the site. We have adjusted the readings for February 22"'^ to reflect the obvious mix-up in the sampling.
