I have review the catalog cuts of the Lutron lighting system that you sent over. On the sheets that
you sent over, Lutron’s drawing dl (sheet 2 of 5) and d2 (sheet 3 of 5) both show the GRX-AV
A/V inteiiticc. While this is useable, as Jong as Ace AudJovisuaJ is In/oaned of the cb-inffe, a
better choice would be the GRX-RS232 interface. This will provide more flexibility, and what was
originally specified.
I have checked with Lutron about the feasibility of changing the audiovisual interfaces from switch
closure to RS-232, and they see no reason why it cannot be done. However, there may be other
factors that dictated the use of switch closure interfaces. Lutron does not have aoydiing in tlieir files
to indicate tbat this is so, but all possibilities should be considered.
Thank you for your help. If you have any other questions or issues that require discussion, please
call me.
