Fire Prevention and Fire Protection Program
1. A plan for periodic formal inspections of each floor area,
including exit facilities, fire extinguishes and housekeeping
has been developed as follows:
a. At the start of each day a check of each exit is made by
tenant fire safety team members and Operations and
Maintenance personnel to determine that self-closing
doors are in a closed position but are not illegally
locked in Any manner.
b. No obstructions are permitted in corridors or aisle
spaces.
c. A daily check is made to insure that all necessary exit
signs and lights where required are lighted and in good
condition.
d. The location and operation of fire extinguishes is knovjn
by all Operations and Maintenance and tenant personnel.
The maintenance of these units is controlled by the Fire
Safety Director.
e. Poor housekeeping is a fire breeder. Accumulation of
combustible debris is not permitted and is promptly
corrected whenever discovered.
2. Provision is made for the monthly testing of all
communication and alarm systems in the building and Fire
Command Post.
Occupants Instructions:
a. The applicable parts of the approved Fire Safety Plan will be
distributed to all tenants of the building by the building
management when the Fire Safety Plan has been approved by the
Fire Commissioner.
b. The applicable parts of the approved Fire Safety Plan will
then be distributed by the tenants to all their employees and
by the building management to all their employees.
c. All occupants of the building will participate and cooperate
in carrying out the provisions of the Fire Safety Plan.
