1. Project Understanding TKLP
Forest City Tech Place Associates (FCTPA) intends to construct a building at 11 MetroTech Center. New York City's Computer and Data Communications Services Agency (CEX2SA), which operates the City's technological infrastructure, will be the major tenant. CDCSA oper ates the Computer Service Center (CSC) and the CITYNET data communications network. CEXZSA's lease is expiring in 1994 and they are seeking space for their data center and admin istrative offices.
We imderstand the building will be a structure of 188,000 GSF. CDCSA will occupy 50,000 USF of multi-floor data center and 62,000 USF of office space. The balance of space will be retail/office space, mechanical/electrical space, parking and grossing factors.
The mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP) engineering will integrate both the base building systems and the tenant fitout design for a comprehensive design capable of meeting CDCSA's needs. The integrated engineering approach will permit a unified design to create the highest degree of reliability.
