desponded to phone alarm report of elevator emergency. Upon arrival ound that outside elevator z hoist had buckeled in 3rd floor . and possible danger of collapse. Police was on scene ,streets were closed off so pedestrians and vehicles were barred from area. . Heydt Const. elevator mechanic was on scene, Building Dept. Was called tp scene, Chief Inspector Joe Walsh responded from Bldg. Dept. Port authority police was left on scene. Lt. George Tell .

nine Co. 10 — 3treched and stood fast. Ladder Co. 10- Confirmed no one was in bldg. Closed off area.
