Mike - I made some minor edits. I used the track changes mode, so you can accept or reject as you see fit. Send on over to Geoff and Charlie once you have whatever FEMA is providing.

B1 FEMA PR_071802.doc

Chris is leaving town this afternoon, so I would like to be able to fax to him at the Municipal building if we can get it done early enough. I'm not sure exactly when he's going though, and I will let him know FEMA is filling in more info and then we’ll see what he'd like for us to do. I don't know now whether he thinks it can wait for his return on Monday or not. But I'll ask and let you know.

Shauna,

Please find attached the first crack at a possible press release as discussed yesterday. I have tried to stay clear of using total numbers as they are not easily explainable in this type of document. Please make any changes, additions, deletions that you feel necessary. Also would you like me to share this with Charlie/Geoff for their input.

FYI

315 Total dirty buildings 60 cleaned by owners verified by DEP

255 Possible cleaning candidates -71 cleaned by DEP contractors 184 total

56 to be cleaned by DEP contractor

129 possible cleaning candidates (is number that is hard to explain in press release)

These 129 buildings need to be re-inspected to ascertain if they were cleaned and owner did not notify us. If they were cleaned, then we can reduce the number by that amount. We then need to contact the owners of those buildings still identified as dirty to see if we can get them to sign license agreements. License agreements keep coming everyday and the 129 number will continue to change (today I signed 3). At the end of the process we will have some number that will need to be addressed outside this process.

I hope I haven't confused you too much. If you need anything else let me know.
