Subject: DoH's role in the EPA & NYC Indoor Air Program
Jim,
We received a matrix from the NYC Department of Environmental Protection
that describes the activities of the different agencies involved in the EPA
& NYC Indoor Air Program. This matrix shows that DoH will be responsible for
communication of technical environmental issues "to provide health
communication and technical assistance for lower Manhattan residents and
workers related to post 9/11/01 events" for an estimated cost of $400,000.
Given that DEP has this role and cost included in their matrix, we assume
that it is based on a detailed DoH proposal. We cannot proceed with the
development of a project worksheet for this work until we receive the
detailed scope of work and a breakdown that shows how the $400,000 was
estimated. If possible, please send this information to me by July 10, 2002.
If you have any questions, please give me a call.
Thank you,
Emily
