FYI. This is the way I'm feeling now. It just might mean moving on. It's up to a much higher authoritu linked to my faith. Since 9/11 it's been ever the challenge.

Chris- As discussed, the news is every bit as discussed this morning. We are closing things out with respect to the program in accordance to the most diligent environmental standards. The release of data will validate a re-assurance program. We have made a mandate for the release of such data be based on a review by FEMA and the City( I will use Edelman and handle the politcal network appropriately ). We will bring back over $90million back to the City. It appears that Doctoroff and Paige want to split the savings in part with the State( they must be looking at the big picture ). The worst case scenario is that $70million can be used by the City as they see fit. As you know, I have had many accomplishments in my governmental tenure, with nothing even coming close to this monumental achievement. I am so very proud of Mike and Krish and staff. I think it's made more special to me personally because it has been achieved with you as Commissioner of DEP. I remember when we took a project that was thankless and going in reverse and challenged ourselves to turn a "task force for life" environment in to a results oriented re-assurance and recovery program. I thank you for showing your committment and cofidence in me and am proud to contribute to the success of your Administration. I don't know if my immediate future is in the private sector as some suggest, but if this is it in the public arena, it's a great way to go out. Sincerely,. 1
