Introduction: Health risks, environmental safety, and security in Lower Manhattan are among the most serious concerns that have surfaced as a result of the World Trade Center (WTC) collapse. While the City, governmental agencies, and of course, volunteers have made tremendous strides in ensuring Lower Manhattan is clean and safe, more needs to be done, and we look forward to continued progress.

The information provided here by city, state, and federal agencies, leading third parties, and individual experts is design^ to help you make decisions about the places you live, visit, work, and socialize. This section, which includes a list of available resources, frequently asked questions, tips, and “news you can use,” will be updated regularly and presented in a way that is meaningful to your lives.
