Chris,

As an outgrowth of our Industry Cabinet meeting, I had lunch with Deborah Beck and John Doyle of REBNY.

I have no idea why Deborah was persistent on getting together, but the net result was as follows:

• If you need her help with Croton Filtration, she will support you with Tripp.

• John Doyle is the same John Doyle who in 1987 left PVB six months after my arrival. John handles intergovernmental affairs for REBNY. I guess it’s a small world.

• Would we support a sewer project on West Street? I told her Doug was the man.

• It cost me $85 as I reversed roles of guest to host.

I graciously asked her if she had spoken with you and she indicated that she had and has worked with you in your prior life. I think I get an “A” for working and playing well with others on this one.

Bob
