Dear Mr. Gilsenan:
Please find a summary of our evaluation of the analytical data from 125 Cedar Street presented below.
A review of the analytical data for asbestos, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), dioxin, lead,
mercury, fibrous glass, and silica indicates that the numeric criteria we are using in the Confirmation
Building Cleanup Study (“the pilot”) at 110 Liberty Street have been met. The numeric criteria are listed
in a draft report entitled “World Trade Center Indoor Air Assessment: Selecting Contaminants of
Potential Concern and Setting Health-Based Benchmarks”, which is currently in draft form and is
undergoing a peer-review.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at 212-637-3116 or Charles Nace of my
staff at 212-637-3459.
Sincerely,
Kathleen Callahan
