Gilsenan, Michael From: [email protected] Sent: Monday, February 03, 2003 11:20 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Detect limits for 114 Cedar

Mike,

The detection limits that were used for dioxin, lead, crystalline silica and fibrous glass at 125 Cedar are fine. Asbestos detection limits should be .0004 f/cc. For PAHs, a maximum detection limit should be no greater than 2.5 ug, but a value of 1 ug would be more desirable. Also, as previously discussed, if lead sampling is to be performed on carpeted surfaces both wipe samples and microvac results would be useful, but if you have to settle on one method the appropriate regulatory statute calls for wipe sampling. Regards.
