Ricoh, USA has donated wireless digital cameras (1700, http://www.ricohzone.eom/Product_RDCi700.html ) to DEP for use at the WTC disaster. These cameras have the ability of taking a digital photo and sending it to e-mail addresses via built-in wireless technology. Prior to sending, the photos can be marked-up by use of a stylus on the built-in screen. In addition, a brief audio recording, describing the photo, can also be ifittached to the picture. I'm tqjd that the^system is simple to easy to^earn and operate. • I envision these cameras being used to send images to key personnel as an aid in describing a situation or condition.....g^cture te worth a thousand words.
