The EPA's Air Quality Hotline is up and running (see press release below); as a result, the City's Lower Manhattan Air Quality Hotline closed on Friday, May 31, 2002.
The following is our last summary of calls received by our hotline operators. We received a total of 18 calls on Thursday May 30: 3 were about cleaning 1 was a question about the environment 6 were requests for indoor air testing 6 were for the Old WTC hotline 2 were "other" questions
We received a total of 11 calls on Friday, May 31: 2 were about cleaning 2 were questions about the environment 1 was a question about health 2 were requests for indoor air 1 was for the Old WTC hotline 3 were "other" calls
We received 2 voicemails overnight. 1 was a request for indoor air testing and 1 was a hang-up.
