Introductory Notes: This Article was added by resolution adopted on May 29, 1985 to regulate temporary food establishments.

§88.01 Definitions. When used in this Article: (a) Temporary food establishment means any food service establishment as this term is defined in Section 81.03 of this Code which operates at a fixed location for a temporary period of time, not to exceed fourteen (14) consecutive days, in connection with a single event or celebration such as a fair, carnival, circus, public exhibition, festival, religious or fraternal organization, function or transitory gathering. (b) A temporary food processing establishment means any temporary food establishment on or in which foods are prepared, sliced, mixed, broiled, fried, baked or otherwise processed or on or in which potentially hazardous foods are handled, prepared or served.
