NEAL L COHEN, M.D. COMMISSIONER

June 22, 2000

Dear Colleague:

I am pleased to present you the April 2000-2001 Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Awareness Calendar. This is a very special calendar, as it contains artwork and slogans from children in public elementary school. It is my hope that as you display this calendar it will serve as a reminder of the many substance abuse related issues facing our children today.

Furthermore, I thank you for your efforts in spreading a message of hope that treatment is available, and recovery is possible because treatment works!

Remember, "Drug Use is Preventable and Treatment Works."

Sincerely,

a

Norma Nieves-Blas Deputy Director
