Conclusion
With respect to Uniformed Public Safety Employees of the Police and Fire Departments of the City of New York, the combination of pension benefits payable from POLICE and FIRE, plus the benefits payable in accordance with GML Section 208(f), plus the additional investment income attributable to increased assets from death benefits paid, will usually result in family income equal to or greater than that brought home from New York City employment sources while the employee was alive.
