The purpose of this letter is to request your cooperation in permitting DEP to perform an inspection Robert C. Avaltroni RoputyCo valtrooner of the exterior surfaces of the above-referenced building. Bureau of building exterior Environmental - A previous inspection showed that the Compliance had been impacted by residue from the collapse of the world Trade Center buildings on September 11, 2001. You Tel (718) 595-4418 were subsequently advised of the Building cleaning but Fax (718) 595-4422 Program being conducted by DEP in lower Manhattan,inspect did not respond. it is therefore necessary to this the building exterior again to determine if residue is still present, and to collect samples for laboratory analysis. Your attention is directed to ''24-106,which24-108, 24-111, and 24-608 of the Administrative code, authorize DEP to conduct necessary testing and sampling of potential sources of air pollution, prohibit interference with DEP personnel in the performance of their duties, and require cooperation with response measures taken by DEP to protect public health and welfare or the environment. if you do not permit the building exterior to be inspected, DEP may issue Commissioners orders or Notices of violation which may carry penalties of up to $10,000 per day. Your anticipated cooperation is greatly appreciated.
