The City of New York Department of Environmental Protection 59-17 Junction Boulevard Corona, New York 11368-5107
Re: Our Lady of Victory Church 60 William Street New York, New York 10038
Dear Mr. Radhakrishnan, th Pursuant to your letter dated February 19 I have enclosed a bulk samples analysis report and an outline of the environmental hazard assessments conducted at the above- referenced location. You will note the bulk samples taken from the debris found on our building indicate concentrations of asbestos at less than I %.
As for the interior cleaning of the church and rectory, the Archdiocese of New York, in conjunction with our insurance company, dispatched a general contractor to clean areas within the church and rectory. The following work was performed:
• Church and rectory interior surfaces where wiped down and vacuumed using HEPA vacuums. • All filters were removed and discarded from mechanical equipment. • All workers wore personal protective equipment (PPE). • All debris was bagged and left at curbside.
As for the exterior facade cleaning, we are awaiting settlement from our Insurance Company. As soon as this matter is resolved the exterior cleaning will commence in accordance with all governmental regulations.
For the record, neither the Archdiocese of New York nor Our Lady of Victory Church was ever advised by any governmental agency regarding building maintenance and re- occupancy issues following the collapse of the World Trade Center. Your letter dated cc February 19th was the only correspondence received by the Church. W Should you require any additional information do not hesitate to call me at the number Z below.
