Attached please find the Air Monitoring Data and Chain of Custody Forms (30 pages) for the ambient air samples collected by ATC Associates and analyzed by phase contrast microscopy (PCM). Samples were collected from two hallway locations and three apartments on each floor of 225 Rector Place. Apartments sampled are identified in the following table.

12 Basement Garage
All areas sampled recorded fiber levels less than or equal to 0.01 f/cc. However, particulate matter raised by HEPA vacuuming activities obscured the initial analysis of the samples collected from the north side of the 15"' and 2"d floors and apartment Pii On 9-24-01 following HEPA cleaning the 15th and 2"d floor hallways were re-tested with all six samples recording levels less than 0.01 f/cc. Following HEPA vacuuming of apartment E Pii ie apartment was re- tested recording a fiber level less than 0.01 f/cc, consistent with the other four samples collected from the seventh floor and does not present an issue at this time.
In conclusion, based upon the analytical results recording fiber concentrations below the NYC acceptable airborne clearance requirement following an abatement action, It Is ATC's opinion that the ambient air samples collected throughout the building meet an acceptable criterion for re-occupancy.
