Dear Mr. Radhakrishnan:
We are writing to confirm our prior conversations regarding our participation in DEP's Lower Manhattan Building Cleaning Program. Our architect has advised us that we should not do the exterior cleaning required by the DEP until the damage done to the exterior of our building as a result of the collapse of the World Trade Center Towers has been repaired.
As our insurance company has not yet fully settled our claim, we do not yet have the funds to make the repairs. We therefore respectfully request that you extend the time period during which we can participate in the program.
Given the potential risk of monetary fines for non-compliance, I would ask you to send to me written confirmation that the deadline for our participation has been extended until [insert date].
