Memo To: Chris Sexton, McClier From: Donald Hoeschele, EMG CC: Greg Gutierrez, McClier Date: 04/15/02 Re: Roof setback asbestos clearance
EMG has reviewed Airborne Asbestos Results for samples collected for the AMEX Tower asbestos leaning work performed on the building setback areas of floors 4, 5, 10, 20, 26, 48, 51, and 52. Asbestos dust and debris removal and testing was conducted by Safeway Environmental, Inc., Bronx, NY during October 2001. The sample collection and the subsequent analysis were performed following the requirements of the New York City DEP Title 15, utilizing Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM).
The results for all work area samples have been reported to be less than 0.01 fibers per cubic centimeter (f/cc). Based upon these results, the areas included above have passed final airborne asbestos clearance and personnel may proceed with their activities.
