Re: DEP Cleaning Program
Dear Mr. Radhakrishnan:
This letter will confirm the Exchange's receipt of your letter dated May 3 regarding the above
program.
The Exchange voluntarily has undertaken various, significant measures to clean its exterior
building areas since September 11, 2001. While it believes that the efforts taken to date satisfy
any applicable standards and/or legal requirements, it wishes to cooperate with your
Department's efforts to improve air quality in lower Manhattan. To this end, the Exchange's
Vice President, Real Estate and Facilities, Mr. Bruce Motto, will be contacting the Department to
discuss what further action, if any, may be recommended at this time and how, consistent with
the Exchange's stringent security and other requirements, such action might be best performed.
Pending the outcome of such discussions, the Exchange has not executed the License Agreement
proposed by the Department.
If you have questions regarding this matter, please call me.
Very truly yours,
Cc: Bruce Motto
