4.0 Discussion

The levels of metals' found in each of the areas samples were generally low to moderate.

These concentrations are not considered hazardous as there is insufficient mass to allow for

significant exposure. There are no standards for acceptable levels of metals in settled dusts in

office environments. However the amount of materials identified are small and if they were

completely suspended in the office atmosphere the resulting concentrations would not exceed the

OSHA Permissible Exposure Limits.

The levels of dioxin and dioxin like compounds in the areas sampled were generally non

detected. Two detectable concentrations are considered low and would be incapable of

generating airborne concentrations in excess of the U.S. EPA screening Ievel.
