Dear Director Radhakrishnan,

On the morning of September 11, 2001, immediately following the collapse of the Trade Center buildings, the building fans we shut down and air intake and exhaust dampers closed.

Upon returning to the property on September 17, head personnel from F.J. Sciame Construction's staff with extensive experience in the building trades checked the entire building and its systems. No dust/ash was found air conditioning system. System filters were changed and the system restarted on a re-circulated air setting. As a precaution, filters were changed again a few weeks later. A light accumulation of ash remained on the roof upon our return to the building. The roof was hosed down at the time to remove the dust. No other exterior clean-up was conducted outside of the ordinary schedule of maintenance.
