Re: 120 Wall Street Clean Up Subsequent to WTC Collapse
Dear Sir/Madam:
This letter is submitted to the DEP in response to the 4/15/02 notice that was delivered to 120 Wall Street. Please be advised that 120 Wall Street was inspected and cleaned prior to re-occupancy (on 9/17/01). Fortunately, given the distance of 120 Wall Street from the WTC site, there was no damage or debris in the building. However, precautionary measures were nevertheless implemented subsequent to 9/11/01:
9/16/01 — Advanced Environmental Corporation conducted a through inspection of the entire building, and collected and analyzed 8 (eight) air samples (via Transmission Electron Microscopy) at various locations (copy of report attached). No asbestos was detected in these samples.
9/16-9/18— Kaback Enterprises cleaned every A/C unit in the building (including louvers) and changed all filters. No units were activated prior to the completion of said cleaning.
If you should have any questions, or require further information, please do not hesitate to call me at (212) 551-7350.
Sincerely,
/ ( IéLL Bill Dacunto Managing Director Operations Department
