NYC 9/11 Public Portal Document

From: Lutchmedial, Carlstien Sent: Wednesday, April 02, 2003 7:57 AM To: Radhakrishnan, Krish Cc: Theodorellys, Penny; Plumptre, Alphonso Subject: 66 John St Inspection revealed that work was being done only on the 9th Floor. Robert Guerra of Harvard Maintenance ((212)730-0001) said he arrangements were made to clean the 10th floor Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. Presently, only two workers were operating two water extraction machines. Work was about half way finished. The areas looked very clean after the extraction. Guerra said the carpet normally dries in about 4 hours. According to Guerra, only half of the 9`h floor is to be done. That is the ECB half. The other half used by the City Human Resources Department is not to be cleaned because they people there do not any problem with "dust from 9/11". The HR section is on the west side of the building (facing WTC). The entire 10`h floor is to be cleaned as it is fully occupied by ECB. Guerra said that his company is the general maintenance company for the building and have shampooed the carpets a couple times since 9/11 as part of their regular cleaning duties.
