The result for bis(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate is being reported as <1 ug/L.

The result generated by the data system (1.5 ug/L) was corrected because when the 1 ug/L calibration standard of 5/1/02 was quantitated using the calibration of 5/1/02 it yielded a result for phthalate of 1.6 ug/L. This result varies from the true value of 1 ug/L by more than 30%. Therefore, the phthalate result for this sample was approximated using a one point calibration.

Benzo(a)pyrene (BAP) appears to be present in sample 10187 at approximately 0.29 ug/L and, therefore, the result is being reported as such. Note: there is some background interference present.

The result of 0.80 ug/L as generated by the data system was corrected as noted above. The correction was made because when the 0.2 ug/L calibration standard of 5/1/02 was quantitated using the calibration of 5/1/02 it yielded a result of of 0.79 ug/L for BAP. This result varied by more than 30% from its true value.

Therefore, the BAP sample result was approximated based on a one point calibration using the 0.2 ug/L calibration standard.
