Executive Summary This report describes air testing performed at twenty different locations in the vicinity of the World Trade Center.

The testing described in this report was conducted from October 5, 2001 to October 31, 2001.

The following companies were involved in this project;

1. Riverpoint, Inc., Environmental Monitoring Company, 7 Hillside Avenue, New Rochelle, NY 10801.

2. Scientific Laboratories, Inc., Analytical Testing Laboratory, 117 East 3O‘h Street, New York, NY 10016

3.RCS, Inc., Analytical Testing Laboratory, 304 Edgemont Terrace, Teaneck, NJ 07666.

4. Enviro-Probe, Inc., Analytical Testing Laboratory, 3830 Park Avenue, Edison, NJ 08820

A total of 540 samples were collected in October 2001. Twenty air samples were collected on a daily basis. All samples were analyzed by Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) in accordance with NIOSH 7400 Method. All samples found to be above 0.01 fibers/cc were re­ analyzed by Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) (EPA Level II) for asbestos fibers. None of these samples contained asbestos.
