The table lists target guideline for the parameter that ATC evaluated during this investigation. Meeting the listed value does not assure that acceptable indoor air quality will be achieved at all times.

TARGET GUIDELINE FOR INDOOR AIR QUALITY PARAMETER EVALUATED ■ TARGI )R ■■■■■■IlIlllL, I _____________ \! 65 micrograms per cubic Respirable meter of air (pig/n?) 24-hour USEPA NPAAQS Particulates (PM2.5) average_______ ~ 40 micrograms per cubic USEPA recommendation for meter of air (qg/mQ 24-hour children and sensitive average individuals USEPA = United States Environmental Protection Agency NPAAQS = National Primary Ambient-Air Quality Standard

RESULTS

ATC collected one (1) 24-hour gravimetric sample in the U‘ Floor Hallway by the cafeteria. The analytical laboratory report is provided in the attachment.

The 24-hour average concentration of PMj 5 was 9.03 ug/m’, which is below both the EPA NPAAQS for PM , of 65 ug 'nT and the EPA recommended level of 40 ug/m\

It is our pleasure to provide these indoor air consultative services to the New York City Department of Education. If you have any questions about this report, please call (212) 353-8280, extension 212.
