Responsibilities As a design principal, Mr. Chung performs his responsibilities through all phases of a project including planning, design and construction. This includes: developing the master plan and global architecture design issues; providing hands-on leadership of the prograiiuning and design effort; creating design solutions that satisfy aesthetic, enviroiunental, and humanis­ tic issues within budget requirements; and working with project managers and discipline leaders to coordinate the entire design effort.

As Senior Design Principal, Mr. Chung recommends assignment of design principals to spe­ cific job opportunities. Further, as administrative head of the design principal category, he provides a home base, and is available to the design principals for providing the best design process and product. It is intended that Mr. Chung's administrative role be limited to enable him to concentrate on creative design activities.

Mr. Chung joined TKLP in 1958 as a project architect, taking leave to obtain his master's degree in architecture at Yale under Paul Rudolph and Serge Chermayeff, and returned to TKLP in 1964. He has served as a design instructor at Drexel University School of Architec­ ture since 1966, and as adjunct professor of architecture at the same university from 1970 to 1975. He also teaches in the Laboratory Animal Science Program at Hahnemann University.
