acid with skin may aggravate skin diseases Such as eciema and contact dermatitis. Lead and its compounds can

.Inhalation:
SuifUfic acid; Remove to fresh alf immediately. If breathing i$ difficult, give oxygen.
Lead; Remove from exposure, gargle, wash nose and lips; consult physician.

Sulfuric acid; Give large quarttities of water; do. not induce vomiting; consult physician.
Lead: Consult physician immediately.
Sulfuric acid: Flush with large amounts of water for at least 15 minutes; remove contaminated clothing coimpleteiy,
including shoes.
Lead; Wash immediately vvith soap and water.
Exgs:

Stop flow of material, contain/absorb small spills with dry sand, earth, vermiculite. Do not use combustible
materials. If possible, carefully neutralize spilled electrolyte with soda ash, sodium bicarbonate, time. etc. Wear

Spent batteries: Send to secondary lead smelter for recycling.
Place neutralized slurry into sealed containers and dispose of as hazardous waste, as applicable. Large water'diluted
spills, after neutralization and testing, should be managed In accordance with approved local, state end federsi
reguirements. Consult state environmeniei agency snd/or federal 6PA.

' Store batteries in cool. dry. weii-ventilated areas with impervious surfaces and adequate containment in the event
