Subject: Quick Question
Bob,
Thanks for all your help on the DEP exterior cleanup wrap-up story. Liz Berger was glowing in her praise of the
DEP and the work you've done cleaning the area and restoring peace of mind. I have some great information
and quotes and will put pen to paper soon. Reporter is just one of the many hats I wear, but rest assured it is
on my list. Once I have written the article I will forward it to you and your team for review. Also some of the
statistics likely will need to be brought up to date at that time.
As you know, we also have been working to communicate about the EPA's efforts by publicizing the interior
cleaning program and deadline extensions. We certainly appreciate your continued help in this regard.
We would like to take this outreach a step further by writing about the process itself. Ideally, one of our writers
could tag along on an interior residential cleaning and interview both EPA workers and the resident whose
home is being cleaned. If this isn't possible, we could interview workers and residents after the fact. We think
this could help the EPA send a positive message about the program and encourage people to take advantage
of it.
My question is: Who at the EPA would you suggest we contact about this story? As always, any assistance
you could provide would be enormously appreciated.
Thanks.
Jon
