Hello all.
Thanks again for coming to City Hall today to our meeting in preparation of Wednesday’s meeting with the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation Advisory Council members. I very much appreciate your taking the time both today and on Wednesday to talk about the important work you are doing in Lower Manhattan. I wanted to just confirm the agenda and deliverables for Wednesday's meeting. Please let me know ASAP if there are any modifications that come to mind. 1) Agenda
• As we discussed, Tara has kindly agreed to facilitate the meeting. She will provide a brief introduction, and will then turn it over to you guys. • DEP will first make a brief presentation on the exterior cleaning program, providing as many details, outcomes, etc as possible. • EPA will then present on their interior cleaning program. • We will have a brief period for Q&A following the questions.
Outstanding issues • As we discussed, I’d like to be sure that someone speaks about the larger content of what both the City and the EPA have been doing. Can either Bob or Kathy speak about that? Or, if you’d like to, Jessica, perhaps you can speak about the longer-term scientific work that is going on?
2) Deliverables
• I’d appreciate it if you could provide me with electronic copies of your powerpoint presentations by the end of the day tomorrow. I’d like to make sure that the MIS folks here have a chance to set things up - and also, I’d like to be sure that the presentations are fairly uniform. • We also discussed brief fact sheets on the programs. I’d appreciate it if both DEP and the EPA could create quick fact sheets to use during the meeting. I’d be happy to review if it would be helpful.
Thanks again. Any questions, please let me know. And, again, I really appreciate your help. best regards. Laurel
