—Original Message— From: Ward, Chris Sent: Wednesday, June 12,2002 2:18 PM To: '[email protected]' Subject: Lower Manhattan dean Up Program As per our discussion at yesterday's executive staff meeting pertaining to DEP's taking responsibility for the Lower Manhattan clean up activities, I would like your assistance in ensuring that a full and orderly transition can take place. Obviously, if issues remain, we will need to revisit this plan.

If you would, please prepare a memorandum to all Task Force members, asking them for a summary list of all open issues and initiatives going forward. If there are concerns with these open issues, now is the time to raise them. We also want to ensure that all projects are appropriately funded by FEMA through DEP. We should also thank the Task Force for the good work accomplished to date.

Your immediate attention to this request is appreciated.

Chris Ward
