Chris, As you can see, the Deputy Chancellor is making a request for approval concerning several more schools at Lower Manhattan. As discussed, it is my understanding FEMA will not give them authorization to procede without my sign off. I had conversations with Haeda, 0MB, and the Law Department on this subject. I clearly stated to all that I am willing to do whatever the Administration wants with respect to these issues. Please let me know your feelings.
PS - I have articulated our support with respect to the Deputy Chancellor's request which is consistent with what we have done in the past.
Thanks, Bob

EPA has agreed to write a letter based on the DOH letter I sent you and their earlier letter which stated that they had consulted with us and supported carpet removal. I sent the DOH letter to EPA this morning and they should be drafting something today. So if you could begin drafting as well, we could be ready to send to FEMA in the next day or two. Thanks.

Matt,. I am out of the office but have read your e-mail. As previously discussed, it is imperative that we have EPA'S letter of support as we did the last time. It's essential for the Mayor to have complete support. Talk to you later. Bob
