NYC 9/11 Public Portal Document
Particular attention should be given to the supplemental benefits
requirement. Although in most instances the payment or provision
for supplemental benefits is for each hour worked, some
classifications require the payment or provision of supplemental
benefits for each hour paid. Consequently, some prevailing
practices require benefits to be purchased at the overtime, shift
differential. Holiday, Saturday, Sunday or other premium time
rate.
Contractors are advised to review the applicable Collective
Bargaining Agreements and the Comptroller's Prevailing Wage
Schedule before bidding on Public Work. If there are any
questions concerning prevailing wages, benefits, overtime.
Holiday pay, shift differentials or any prevailing practice,
please contact this office.
Any error as to compensation under the prevailing wage law
or other information as to trade classification, made by the
contracting agency in the contract documents or in any other
communication will not preclude a finding against the contractor
of prevailing wage violation.
