TO ANNE CANTY/CHARLIE STURCKEN: I

I received a call from a Lousiana official who will be visiting NYC on August 24-25. He wants to talk about “quality of life” issues in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and found us because he (presumably) thinks we have relevant experience dealing with the aftermath of 9/11.

See second call on my call sheet (attached).

Not sure how he got to me, but in any event, can 'one of you call him on Monday and see what he would like to discuss? I have a feeling he would be better served talking to people like Bob Avaltroni and his staff (re air and hazmat issues and how they were dealt with) but since this could be a good p.r. opportunity for the agency, I figured I should start with you and ask you to speak with Bob about how to proceed.

I will be out of town on Monday but back in on Tuesday AM.

Let me know. !
